While working with the families of West Ashley as an RN at Roper St Francis, I realized that there was a great need for out of hospital support. As an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I believe breastfeeding is a personal choice and I am here to help YOU reach your breastfeeding goals.
I don’t want to simply help symptoms go away. I find the cause of the problem and help the family make a plan to address it with a drug-free approach. This approach leads to not only a change in their symptoms but long term sustainable change.
My journey toward becoming a postpartum doula and gentle yoga teacher was born out of my desire to diversify the ways in which I apply my maternal nature.

The experience of pregnancy and birth has changed a great deal over the years. I believe women can and do have safe, physiologic and memorable birth(s). whether it be in a hospital, birth center or at home with a midwife, how you choose to birth is how I will support you.
I believe that it is never too late to create a healthy relationship with your child…to be the parent you want to be and the parent your child needs you to be.
I have a clear vision of a society where we raise children to be empowered, peaceful, and inspired through connection (rather than the old controlling paradigm). This vision includes wanting children to grow up knowing they are loved just because they are and not because they did something to earn it.
